CIVIL MEMBERSHIP ACTIVITIES
The Russian Association of Builders. The Russian Association of Builders was created in the summer 2005 with the goal of directing the combined efforts of Russia’s leading construction companies towards the growth of the construction industry, attracting large investment contracts, and implementing new technologies. Currently one of the association’s most urgent tasks is to assist in the realization of the national “Affordable and Comfortable Housing for the Citizens of Russia” project. The association participates in the Council for Matters of Residential Construction, created under the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
MIRAX GROUP actively participates in the work of the association. The President of MIRAX GROUP, Sergei Polonsky, acts as First Vice President. More detailed information about the Russian Association of Builders is available at the website www.a-s-r.ru. The “Business Russia” National Civil Society. Business Russia was created to promote the development of civil society institutions in Russia; to encourage the establishment of business and social partnerships between governmental agencies and non-profit organizations; and to develop ties and collaboration with national and international organizations of business owners throughout the world.
MIRAX GROUP is an active participant in all the events initiated by Business Russia. The executives of the corporation collaborate in various working groups, targeted commissions and industry committees of the organization. The President of MIRAX GROUP, Sergei Polonsky, is a member of the management body, the General Council of Business Russia.
The Moscow Council of Business Owners. The council organizes interaction between the Moscow City Government and associations of business owners. The focus of the council is to facilitate the settlement of economic and managerial problems in Moscow and to promote programs directed towards the development of the city. The President of MIRAX GROUP, Sergei Polonsky, has been an active member of the council since 2000.
