 The Height of Achievement
The Federation Business Complex: A new star rising in the Moscow skyline, Mirax Construction is erecting the tallest building in Europe: 1470 feet of striking architecture that is not just high art, but all business. Located on Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment, the Federation Business Complex is destined to become the centerpiece of the capital’s Moscow City international business hub.
An international project slated for launch in early 2008, the Federation Complex involves contributions from such high-rise construction frontrunners as Turner, Thornton Tomasetti, the National Engineering and Construction Corporation of China, and Ant Yapi. Vneshtorgbank, Russia’s premier credit institution, is a partner in the project, and will be the completed property’s largest tenant.
The design was chosen from 40 bids submitted by top architectural studios all over the world. The structure will consist of a multilevel podium with two towers 93 and 62 stories tall, sharing a stylobate.
Of the building’s total floor space of more than 4.5 million sq ft., 2 million will be available for Class ‘A’ offices, 830,000 sq. ft. will be allotted to elite apartments, and another 430,000 sq. ft. will house the new Grand Hyatt Moscow. The business part of the building will also house bank offices, airline offices, fitness centers, cafés, restaurants, shops and convention centers.
Already a world-record holder, the Federation Complex has made it into the Guinness Book of Records. Tower A’s 14,000 cubic-meter base, completed in February 2006, is the world’s largest cast-in-place concrete foundation. |
 Combining Business and Luxury
The Mirax Plaza Business Center: A concrete-and-steel expression of the European-standard business focus of the New Russia, construction at Mirax Plaza began officially on August 29, 2006. The very location of the complex on the intersection Kutuzov Avenue and Kulnev Street just opposite the Moscow-City International Business Center perfectly fits Moscow’s priority to develop of the Western administrative zone as an international business zone.
Mirax Plaza represents a microdistrict that will reinforce the growing image of this part of the city as a haven for business. At the same time, it will enrich Kutuzov Avenue with architectural originality and luxurious charm. Instead of unsightly waste ground, Mirax Plaza will provide a skyline landmark of variable height (41 and 47 floors) with a multi-level underground mall for elite boutiques, trade centers, cafés and restaurants as well as offices of major Russian and foreign companies. As an attraction for commerce, the business center should bring the image of a prestige place for walks, recreation and posh purchases to Kutuzov Avenue.
The project includes a 58,000 square-foot, seven-story building for the Dorogomilovo district police station featuring modern design, the latest advanced technology, and an underground parking facility that combines security and convenience.
The construction began in December, 2006. When compete, Mirax Plaza will encompass nearly 4,000,000 square feet, more than one-fourth of which will be underground. The parking lot of the complex would hold 2,950 cars. The commissioning of the project is planned for 2010.
Achieving New Heights in Kiev
Mirax Plaza Corporate Center: An elegant and luxurious integration of residential, office, shopping and recreational areas, the planned 44-floor Mirax Plaza complex will rise more than 550 feet into the Kiev skyline, which will make it the tallest building in the Ukraine.
The multipurpose complex will be built in the Shevchenko district, just opposite the Kudryavsky uzviz, one of the most important districts in the historic center of Kiev. Mirax Plaza is part of a grander plan for redevelopment of the city to make it a more attractive and prestigious location for living, working, shopping and conducting commerce.
The total space of the complex will be over two million square feet. The upper floors include a restaurant offering a marvelous overview. Topping it all off will be a helicopter landing site on the roof of the building.
The residential area of Mirax Plaza will consist of five sections comprising 381 individually designed apartments, including two-storied penthouses. The entrances will be equipped with day and night reception. Amenities will include community services, house-cleaning services, grocery deliveries, and on-site car-parking at ground level and underground.
Mirax Plaza’s advanced infrastructure will include artesian wells drilled to depths of 600-1000 feet, and autonomous heating system, cogeneration installation, climate-control system, central cross-system for electric power supply, on-site maintenance and repair facilities, dispatching, and automatic centralized administration of engineering systems. |

Mirax Plaza Corporate Center. Kiev
The multipurpose complex Mirax Plasa is to be built in Shevchenko district of Kiev, just opposite the Kudryavsky uzviz. This is one of the most important districts of the historical center of Kiev. The general plan of Kiev development provides the conception of public and other areas, including the Glybochitskaya Ulitsa, where should be located the new Mirax Plaza. Actually there is an industrial area at the place, which should be removed outside of town. Accordingly, the center if Kiev it will be the place for new respectable buildings for apartments, offices and shops.
Multipurpose tower building Mirax Plasa is a unique project for Ukrainian real-estate market. The approved planned height of the building is 170m (44 floors). Thus, the Mirax Plasa will be the highest building in Ukraine.
The complex will consist of residential, office and shopping areas, as well as the recreation area combined with park and walkways. The total space of the complex shall be 204582,82 sq.m. The upper storeys of the corporate center will comprise a restaurant offering a marvelous overview. The project provides a helicopter landing site of the roof of the building.
The residential area of the multipurpose complex Mirax Plasa will consist of five sections comprising 381 flat with individual design, including two-storied penthouses. The entrances will be equipped with day and night reception. There will be available a wide number of opportunities such as calling up the community services, home-cleaning service, ordering goods. The project provides ground level and underground car parks. Besides, the complex will be equipped with artesian wells sunken to a depth of 200-300m, autonomous heating system, cogeneration installation, glass fixing, climate-control system, central cross-system for electric power supply, dispatching, automatic centralized administration of engineering systems.

The assignment: design and build a new microdistrict encompassing housing, commercial, educational and cultural facilities to provide a superior quality of life for residents and businesses alike.
Located in a park zone of over 100 acres, the total area of construction will be nearly 13,000,000 square feet.
The territory of the residential district is bounded by Kremenchugskaya Street, Slavyansky Boulevard and Davydkovskaya Street. Besides the housing developments, MIRAX GROUP will establish all required infrastructure on the territory: a kindergarten, a school, a fitness center, and commercial space for shopping and service businesses.
